School website

Guddada high school is a historic higher secondary school in Sringeri, Karnataka.

The brief was to create a responsive website with a nostalgic feel.

The color scheme is derived from the uniform which the pupils wear. The logo talks about the history of the school.

Gudda means hill in the local language. The school is situated on top of the hill, hence the name guddada high school

Design story

The school has a nostalgic feel associated with it. Being a government school, it caters to a wider audience. Also language plays a major role here. Majority of the folks are comfortable with the local language kannada. Hence the website is designed in Kannada.

The theme is derived from the local elements with which the school is asspiciated. They include the school uniform, the local architecture, cultural aspects etc.,

The overall feel is "something creative and educational"

Here the development time was very limited so was the budget. Hence we went with the 'no-code design' approach.

At Design Katte, we often use this 'no-code design' approach as it helps the clients to achieve the desired target in limited budget and a dramatically lesser timeline.
