Srimaata is an Ayurvedic antenatal care service by Dr. Lakshmi N Prasad in Sringeri, Karnataka. It focuses on holistic maternal wellness rooted in traditional Indian wisdom. The website was designed to introduce the service, simplify access, and create a calm digital experience for expectant mothers.
Design Intent
The goal was to build a visual identity that feels warm, grounded, and nurturing. We wanted the digital experience to reflect the emotions of motherhood while staying true to Ayurveda’s aesthetics.
Soft earthy tones, natural textures, and minimal motifs were used to create a sense of calm and care. Every visual and word was designed to make visitors feel safe and connected.
We also wanted the website to be effortless for both sides — simple for mothers to book appointments, and equally simple for the doctor to manage her service without needing technical expertise.
Research and Process
We began by sitting with Dr. Lakshmi regularly to understand how she engages with patients. We conducted user interviews with women who were pregnant, planning pregnancy, or new mothers.
Through these sessions, we identified their main concerns: long waiting times in hospitals, lack of transparent communication, and difficulty in reaching doctors.
Our approach was to address each of these pain points. The website provides clear service information, direct contact options, and a smooth booking process that saves time and effort.
Development Approach
We built the website using WordPress, chosen for its robustness and cost-effectiveness. After testing several plugins, we selected only the ones that best supported our design and functional goals.
We also handled domain registration, payment gateway setup, and complete deployment — ensuring everything worked seamlessly for the doctor and her clients.
Our approach to design is never about themes or tools. It’s about creating the overall experience — how the service looks, feels, and functions in real life.
Outcome
Srimaata now stands as a peaceful, intuitive digital space that communicates the essence of care and tradition. It bridges Ayurveda’s timeless knowledge with modern accessibility, helping mothers connect with a trusted service easily and confidently.
